Au revoir, adieu, à bientôt love bugs!

The morning sweeping of the bugs ritual during love bug season.

It looks like the love bug assault is finally waining. I happily noticed during my ride that the swarm destiny as a whole was greatly reduced, although there were a few pockets of stragglers which apparently did not get the cease and desist memo. I also observed far less cars smothered in love bug juice. That’s not to say that they are gone, but it looks like they have finally peaked. Au revoir love bug, you will not be missed…unfortunately we get to do this all over again in September.

Today’s slightly less bug filled ride was down Treeline. It was nice to be able to breathe deeply again without the fear of swallowing a love bug. Here are the numbers…
