Milestone Ride, 1,000 Mile Mark.

Orca has virtually no wear on her in 1,000 miles, unlike the 16lbs it has worn off me.

Cycling is a very personal sport which is full of milestones. My major milestone of coarse is to ride a century (100 miles in a day), which is still a ways off, but I did manage to break a minor milestone on today’s ride. I officially broke the 1,000 mile mark since starting my trek. Although I had originally planned on breaking it last month, 1,000 miles in 39 rides isn’t that bad. More importantly though is those 1,000 miles have trimmed me down by 16 pounds! For those actually counting, that’s 245.85 donuts burned, 52.65 gallons of gas saved, and 0.04 trips around the world… or in more terrestrial terms, it’s like riding from Fort Myers to Dallas, or Fort Myers to Philadelphia.

Bring on the next 1,000!!!
